The Total Home Gym was first developed way back in 1974 with the notion of developing an exercise system that

by Chuck Norris and Christine Brinkley. The popularity of the Total gym no matter the model has never really
diminished.
The idea about using the Total home gym is that you can switch from one exercise to the next very quickly

Total Gym XLS is the best selling home model of the Total gym. It features six resistance
levels (6% to 54% of body weight) which is enough real weigh resistance to give almost anyone a challenging
workout, especially with over 80 exercises. It has newly designed pulley and cables, a revised squat stand. This
Total home gym comes complete with the addition of a Pilates kit to perform your Pilates exercises. Also included
are a wing attachment and a leg pulley accessory.
Folds completely flat for easy storage under most beds when not in use and is perfect if you have a small space
but still want a challenging workout. This unit weighs 82 pounds and has a 400 pound capacity with 6 foot 2 inch
use height limit..
Total Gym 3000 is the mid range home model. Like the XLS it also has six resistance levels and
you can perform over 60 exercises including military presses, cable flys, pull ups, and squats. This Total home gym
is rates for a 300 pound capacity and has a large plastic squat stand that can be used for various leg exercises.
Comes complete with a Wing attachment, exercise wall chart, and 2 instructional DVDs.
Total Gym 2000 is introductory home model that offers the same versatility like the other two
models but in a more basic package for the budget conscious. You can still perform over 40 exercises using your own
weight and gravity. This unit has a 250 pound weight limit.
Total Gym 1800 Club is part of the Total home gym club models. These models are more
attractively priced and do offer a large selection of exercises but are not as well constructed as the 2000 plus
series. It includes some excellent attachments like Ab crunch boards, dip bars, a press up bar, a wing attachment,
a Pilates bar and a leg attachment with cuff. The 1800 Club also offers a larger glider board and eider tower than
previous models. It has an auto lock for height adjustments and an easy to follow exercise flip chart. This Total
home gym folds up easily for storage and has a 275 pound user weight limit.
